The Shelfie was born from late-night conversations and roadside brainstorms between two lifelong friends — Rudra and Alankrit — both adventure lovers and problem solvers at heart. After years of camping, overlanding and roadside fix-ups, we realized something was missing: a clean, portable surface that could stick to your ride, help you work, eat, serve—or simply stand out.
That’s how The Shelfie came to life: a magnetic teak and resin board that clamps to your vehicle, and becomes the perfect stage for your next move. Whether you’re sipping chai by the beach, sharing snacks at a road-trip pitstop, or catching up on creative chats in the garage, Shelfie is always there.
Where Roads Meet Wood
Picture this: two old friends—Rudra and Alankrit—on a dusty Himachal roadside at dusk, beer in hand, camp stove still warm from the freshly cooked maggie, the Himalayas softening the evening light. The world was silent except for the rumble of distant jeeps crossing the valley floor. But the table? We were relying on foldable stools or flat rocks—never ideal.
Two years later, one evening in Pune, we were reminiscing about our last trek. Over a game of Pool and drinks in Alankrit’s garage, Rudra said, “Imagine a wooden board that just sticks to your ride—sip your drink, fix a part, take photos, then snap it off and store it.” We looked at each other, both knew instantly: That’s it.
And so The Shelfie was born—crafted in the spirit of DIY Indian adventures, built from desert-teak and rare earth magnets ready for anything: muddy trails, rainy roads, or family picnics by the River.
Edge Of The Highway
We drew from stories of roadside stalls in Rajasthan, service kiosks in Ladakh, chai tapris in Mumbai—and designed a board that could meet every challenge, yet look at home on a luxury SUV or a humble Tata Ace.
Months of sketches, prototypes, field-tests from Ladakh to Lakshadweep. Late-night grind sessions. Messages: “This saved my pizza stop fest.” “Used it to change my tyre in the dark.” “Hosted a road-side meeting—first impressions were gold.”
Today, The Shelfie is more than a product. It’s our tribute to Indian roads and the spirit of those who refuse to pause their day for bad tables. Any time, anywhere—your Shelfie is your table.

Every Shelfie begins not in a factory line, but in the quiet hum of a craftsman’s workshop. Each piece is handcrafted from solid desert teak, shaped with intention, and finished with an artisan’s touch. No two boards are ever exactly the same — and that’s exactly the point.
From the grain patterns to the resin swirls, your Shelfie carries the signature of human hands, not machines. The embedded neodymium magnets are set with care— blending rugged functionality with raw elegance.

Our First Happy Customer
Meet Rao — one of our oldest friends, and now our very first Shelfie rider. A quiet powerhouse, Rao works at the HMEL refinery in Bhatinda, where days are long, and even a parked car is a moment of peace.
When we handed him the first prototype, he didn’t say much. He simply walked to his matte black Slavia, attached the Shelfie, opened himself a beer, and leaned on it like it had always been there. That smile — the one that says “yeh kaam ka cheez hai bhai” — told us we were onto something real.
Rao didn’t just test the Shelfie. He blessed it with dust, oil, and purpose.
